Sam earned his Masters degree in Counseling at the University of Arkansas in 2007. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) from the International Association of Trauma Professionals. Since 2005, he has been treating a variety of mental health issues for teenagers, adults, college students, veterans, and student-athletes. Sam's expertise is on helping people who have survived adverse life challenges. He is trained in using specialized treatments for traumatic stress such as Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, IATP Narrative Exposure Therapy and more. He has attended and presented at numerous regional and national conferences regarding his work as a Counselor. He also trained University of Arkansas graduate students from Social Work, Counseling, and Clinical Psychology. 

As part of his work to become a LPC, he completed over 3000 hours of supervised clinical work. Additionally, Sam has completed over 100 credit hours of graduate work and training from the University of Arkansas, International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, International Associations of Trauma Professionals, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
